The Gears Of War lore was a complex conflict on the planet Sera, where humanity, after a near-apocalyptic war,
discovered the energy of Imulsion and fell into conflict with the Pendulum Wars between the Coalition of Ordered Governments
(COG) and the Union of Independent Republics (UIR). This was violently interrupted by the Emergence Day, when the subterranean,
monstrous Locust Horde emerged, devastating Sera. The story follows Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad as they fight the Locust, discover
their origins from humans transformed by Imulsion (Lambent), and ultimately find a way to stop the two warring factions with a powerful Imulsion-based weapon.
